Both Cranbrook and Kimberley are under the average property tax gap of 2.60 between residential and business for B.C communities: Cranbrook’s property tax gap is 2.57 and Kimberley’s is 2.54.

  • From 2010 to 2015, Kimberley lowered its Municipal Property Tax Gap by 6.6% (Total Average Property Tax for Kimberley is $7,178). From 2010 to 2015, Cranbrook lowered its Municipal Property Tax Gap by 15.5% (Total Average Property Tax for Cranbrook is $6,743.)

KOA’s newest luxury RV park is open for business

Tourism in the Cranbrook-Kimberley Development Zone just received a big infrastructure boost in the form of a luxury RV park at the historic St. Eugene Mission Golf Resort & Casino. The Cranbrook / St. Eugene KOA Journey held its grand opening on July 28, 2018. It is the newest KOA RV Park in Canada and includes amenities not typically found at RV parks, such as food and beverage delivery to all sites.

The RV park is located just minutes from a restaurant, casino and an 18-hole championship golf course. Other amenities include 50-amp service, cable TV and free WiFi. Visitors can also enjoy stunning views of the Rocky Mountains and deluxe riverfront sites. Currently, 76 of the 115 sites are open while the second phase of this project is still under construction.
