Wildstone Golf Course named Top 100 in Canada

Cranbrook’s Wildstone Golf Course is recognized as one of the best in the country. SCOREGolf recently released its list of the Top 100 Golf Courses for 2018 and Wildstone came in at 78th.

Wildstone Golf Course has exceptional views of the Rocky Mountains.

“The announcement of SCOREGolf’s Top 100 is always an interesting read with some incredible Canadian courses named that highlight the works of such notable designers as Stanley Thompson, Rod Whitman, Doug Carrick and more,” wrote Chris Andrews, General Manager, on Wildstone’s website. “Many of these beautiful courses with storied pasts, hosts of prestigious events and home to legends of Canadian golf seem larger than life.”

Opened in 2011, Wildstone is Canada’s first Gary Player Black Knight designed course in Canada. It measures over 7,100 yards and has the advantage of being located in the highlands overlooking the city of Cranbrook. Stunning views of the Rocky Mountains are visible from course start to finish.

Course details:

  • Total Length: 7,127 yards
  • Par: 72 (Out 37, In 35)
  • Designer: Black Knight Course by Gary Player Design
  • Greens: A4/T1 Bentgrass
  • Tees and Fairways: Kentucky Bluegrass

Location, design and the team at Wildstone help to set this course apart.

“Our team at Wildstone are always committed to providing a genuinely positive golf experience, and our maintenance crew are the early morning all starts,” he said. “The experience, dedication and desire of Wildstone’s greens staff to continually improve and present the best version of the course is what brings this Black Knight Course by Gary Player Design to life and allows golfers to really enjoy Wildstone as it was intended.”
