Cranbrook shortlisted for 2019 Open For Business Award

Small Business BC has whittled down the nominations for this year’s Open for Business Awards, and once again, Cranbrook has made the shortlist.

Nominations were open from October 1 to November 30, and nominees now have until January 4, 2019, to submit an economic case study, which highlights the success of one community-wide initiative. There are three categories and the winners of each will be announced at the BC Small Business Awards Gala on February 21, 2019.

Last year, both Cranbrook and Kimberley made it to the semi-finals, with Kimberley taking home an award in the medium communities category.

Launched in 2011, the Open for Business Awards are designed to recognize and celebrate communities that best demonstrate they are promoting business-friendly initiatives within their region. The Awards are organized by Small Business BC and the Province of British Columbia.
