Did You Know?

With 1,510 residents currently within the ages of 15 to 19 years, our region has a strong emerging workforce.

Who is CKDI?

The Cranbrook-Kimberley Development Initiative (CKDI) is a non-profit society that was formed by local business leaders, the mayors and key municipal staff to present our region as one economic zone.

Their aim is to:

  • Attract new businesses
  • Facilitate growth
  • Produce jobs
  • Reduce upwards pressure on tax rates
  • Increase the population

In other words, CKDI wants the region to grow and thrive.
Along with the municipalities, over 50 businesses have invested their own money into targeted sales and marketing activities – which are overseen by an eight-person board of contributing local business leaders.

Entrepreneurs looking for irresistible business opportunities, CKDI is here for you.
